Site was upgraded to more robust and reliable version of rails, migrated to professional hosting company, source control applied and general tidy up of code.
Customer area access authentication and data via Salesforce qpi.
CMS applied to existing static site allowing:
- staff to add, update and delete page content
- basic document management system allowing staff to upload and organise documents for customer access
- importing of large product datasets allowing customers to view and order latest products, ordering completed via SOAP calls to Bluegnomes internal probe ordering system
Site duplicated and view layer modified for 3 sites, allowing all 3 sites to be managed from 1 code base.
